Location & Transportation
This is a port for smaller cruise ships with the dock located right in the center of Itea. The town is small, charming, and easily explored on foot. You'll quickly notice the slower pace here compared to busier hubs, perfect for a relaxed day ashore.
Sightseeing
Itea itself is a pretty, quiet port town with a few local cafés, bars, and even a small beach where you can take a refreshing swim (just note that the beach has no facilities). It’s best known as the departure point for trips to some of Greece’s most famed historical and natural attractions. When you’re here, consider visiting:
- Delphi
Visit the ancient archaeological site of Delphi, a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its oracle of Apollo and dramatic ruins set against sweeping mountain views. - Mount Parnassus
Check out Mount Parnassus for a taste of local mythology and stunning scenery. In ancient times, it was sacred to Apollo and the Muses, and today its olive groves and breathtaking landscapes continue to inspire visitors.

If you’re looking to explore beyond Itea, there are taxi excursions available:
