Location & Transportation
Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island port in Belize, Harvest Caye, is unique in that you can simply walk off your ship directly onto the island. Opened in 2016 for Western Caribbean itineraries, the port features a seven-acre sandy beach, a 15,000-square-foot pool, and plenty of adventurous facilities. While the port itself is designed for cruise passengers, transportation options on the island are limited to on-site shuttles and guided excursions organized by the island’s staff.
Sightseeing
Harvest Caye offers a relaxed, nature-infused experience with plenty to see on a short stop:
- A charming nature center where friendly local staff introduce you to native wildlife such as boa constrictors, toucans, scarlet macaws, and even a delightful enclosed butterfly garden.
- Beautiful, unspoiled beach scenes perfect for a leisurely stroll or a moment to soak in the sun.
It’s a great place to explore on foot while enjoying the local environment and learning about Belize’s unique natural heritage.
