Location & Transportation
Since cruise ships cannot dock directly in Carriacou, you will be tendered ashore. The main tender port is in Hillsborough, right in the center of the capital on the western side of the island. Once ashore, it’s easy to navigate: many visitors choose local buses or water taxis for exploring the island. Bus fares are around EC$2.00 per mile or roughly EC$3.00 per ride, and water taxis can whisk you off to nearby islands like Sandy Island or Petite Martinique.
Nearest Airport
For those arriving by air, the nearest major airport is Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND), located on Grenada’s main island. From there, you can take a short flight or a ferry to Carriacou.
