Location & Transportation
Bozcaada is a peaceful island on the Aegean Sea, near the western exit of the Dardanelles in Turkey. Historically known as Tenedos, the town is very small—so much so that you can easily walk from one end to the other in about ten minutes. Its tender port welcomes cruise ships, and once you step ashore you’ll feel instantly relaxed by the island’s laid-back charm.
Nearby Lodging
There are a few boutique hotels, guesthouses, and charming bed & breakfasts scattered around town. These locally run accommodations offer a cozy stay and a chance to experience genuine island hospitality.
Nearest Airport
The closest airport is Çanakkale Airport, located roughly an hour’s drive away on the mainland. From Çanakkale, you can catch a minibus or taxi to the ferry terminal for a short boat transfer to Bozcaada. Alternatively, some travelers arrive via İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport, though it’s a longer trip by road and ferry alike.

Bozcaada enchants with its scenic vineyards, half-empty beaches, and a picturesque waterside town lined with cobbled streets. Strolling around, you’ll notice family-run fish restaurants and local art in doorways—a reminder of the island’s rich history and vibrant culture.

- Wandering through vineyards that produce a fantastic red wine.
- Enjoying the serene atmosphere along the waterfront.

Bozcaada has a relaxed Mediterranean culture with a delightful blend of tradition and modern convenience. While the island enjoys a limited 4G connection, you’ll often find the best signal near the pier.
